Got questions?
1. What types of dumbbells are there?
Our range includes different types of dumbbells for different training needs:
Fixed dumbbells: Hexagon, polyurethane, and Round Dumbbells PRO
Adjustable dumbbells: Quad (20 kg or 36 kg) and L1 Olympia, a dumbbell with a 50 mm sleeve for use with weight plates.

2. What are the differences between the fixed dumbbells?
Hexagon dumbbells: Hex heads, PVC-coated. They won't roll away, protect the floor, and make your training area safer.
Polyurethane round dumbbells: Steel core with a premium PU coating. Odorless, scratch-resistant, and durable – ideal for regular use at home or in the gym.
Round Dumbbells PRO: Also steel-core, but made using the more elaborate CPU process. That makes them extremely tough and long-lasting with a premium finish – built for heavy-duty commercial gym use.
Hexagon PRO: Also CPU-made, making them the highest quality tier among hex dumbbells. Maximum durability meets premium build – ideal for long-term use in professional training environments.

3. What are adjustable dumbbells?
Adjustable dumbbells let you set the weight yourself by adding or removing plates on a handle. They're cheaper and take up less space than a full set of fixed dumbbells. The plates are secured with spin-lock collars or collars.
4. Which dumbbell weights should I start with?
That depends a lot on your strength. For isolation exercises like biceps curls or lateral raises, 2.5–10 kg is usually plenty. For compound movements like lunges or bench presses, 10–25 kg is a sensible starting point. A 2.5–25 kg set has most beginners well covered and keeps training varied.
5. Are adjustable dumbbells good for beginners?
Yes, adjustable dumbbells are a great choice for beginners. They give you lots of weight options in a single set, so you don't need to buy several fixed dumbbells in different weights right away. The L1 Olympia set or the Quad 20 kg version are excellent starting points.
6. How should I store fixed dumbbells?
We offer several racks for safe, space-saving dumbbell storage. The Hellhound is a three-tier rack with three flat shelves, ideal for hex dumbbells. For round dumbbells there are special racks with cradles that stop them rolling – for 10 or 20 dumbbells. And with our R8 systems you can add storage shelves so your dumbbells live right in the rack.
7. How should I store adjustable dumbbells?
For our Quad adjustable dumbbells we offer a rolling storage stand. It keeps them stored safely and compactly, makes handling easier during training, and keeps the dumbbells within easy reach.
8. Are dumbbells enough for effective training?
Yes. Dumbbells are essential for upper-body training: they allow free movement, correct imbalances, and target both large and small muscles. Combined with a weight bench like the B6 Decline, you can do bench presses, shoulder presses, rows, and more. Once you reach a certain level, a barbell is worth adding, since it lets you load heavier weights for compound lifts like squats and deadlifts.
9. How do I care for my dumbbells?
Wipe down regularly: After training, wipe off sweat and dirt with a damp cloth to prevent rust and odors.
Check the collars: On adjustable dumbbells, check regularly that the collars are tight.
Rubber-coated dumbbells: May give off a rubber smell at first. Airing them out for the first few weeks helps.

10. What is the difference between round and hex dumbbells?
Hexagon dumbbells have a six-sided shape, so they don't roll away – a real plus on uneven floors. They're also great for exercises like dumbbell push-ups.
Round dumbbells are more compact and slimmer overall, which is a bonus at heavier weights since they take up less room and are easier to handle. Being able to roll them is actually an advantage in certain situations, like one-arm dumbbell rows: you roll the dumbbell under a bench like the B4 to switch arms.

11. What are the advantages of kettlebells compared to dumbbells?
Kettlebells have a unique shape that gives them real advantages over dumbbells. The offset handle shifts the center of gravity, which opens up functional movements, swings, and full-body training. That builds not just strength but coordination, stability, and explosiveness too.
