Big Functionality, Almost No Footprint
- With a 20 mm diameter, our Band Pegs fit all R7 power racks and squat racks
- Made from solid steel, they simply slide into the upper or lower crossmembers
- Attach resistance bands to them to add resistance in a way weight plates alone can't
- For example, if you anchor the bands to the lower Band Pegs and loop them around the barbell, they reach maximum stretch at the top of the bench press, right where you are strongest
- This keeps the load on the target muscle more consistent, because without bands the muscle does less work at full contraction than at the sticking point
- You can also use the Band Pegs to anchor the bands at the top of the rack
- Here's why that works for squats: at the bottom of the squat, the bands are under maximum tension
- They help you drive out of the hole and lose tension the higher you rise
- Just before full knee and hip extension, they no longer affect the load, so you carry the full weight in the range where you are naturally strongest
- Used correctly, resistance bands even out the load so no part of the lift is too hard or too easy
