Cutting and Installation Guide

• Safety first: Wear suitable work gloves to reduce the risk of cuts.
• Use the right tools: a sharp utility knife and a straightedge.
• Place the mat on a flat, level surface, with cardboard underneath to protect the floor.
• Measure carefully and mark the cut line with chalk or a light knife score.
• Set the straightedge on the line and cut firmly through the mat without lifting the knife. Keep the pressure even and cut in one continuous stroke.
• Repeat until the mat is fully cut through. Spread the cut apart slightly as you go to reduce friction.
• If needed, lightly wet the blade with soapy water for smoother cutting, but keep in mind that this also makes the knife more likely to slip.
• Cover any gaps between mats with black tape to help keep out dust and dirt.
