4. Are the cast-iron plates space-saving on the bar?

Yes. Thanks to their slim profile, you can slide more of them onto the plate holders. That’s a big advantage for exercises or machines that call for heavy training weights, such as a leg press, since you can load enough plates – a major plus over thicker bumper plates.

5. What kind of cast iron is used, and how robust is it?

We use ductile (nodular) cast iron, which is also widely used to make automotive parts, wheels, gearboxes and machine frames. The iron is cast in class 30 and has high tensile strength and corrosion resistance. A durable paint finish rounds off the long-lasting rust protection.

6. What sizes are the plates available in, and how can I buy them?

Our cast-iron weight plates are available in pairs in 1.25 kg, 2.5 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg, 15 kg, 20 kg and 25 kg. Buying in pairs lets you put together exactly the combination you want. Alternatively, we also offer great-value sets that make a practical starter package for your training.

7. How accurate are the weights?

Thanks to the high casting quality, the weight tolerance is under three percent, and the kilogram marking is clearly legible on the plates.
